Bill--

There are labels. Used primarily as targets for CALL statements.
There is no GOTO. There is a SIGNAL, that looks and smells like a GOTO
but has _horrible_ side effects (knocks down internal structures) if
used improperly.

For a full explanation of why there is no real GOTO (REXX is a
"dynamically scoped" language) see Mike Cowlishaw's "The
REXX Language:
A Practical Approach to Programming", 2nd edition [ISBN 0-13-780651-5].
This book (by the founding father of REXX) is the definitive description
of the "standard" version of the language, including the reasons why
things are the way they are. OS/2 REXX is a superset of standard REXX,
but the philosophy hasn't changed.
