SB> Absolutely right! I would have quit reading Cornwell several books

Yes, if a series starts well, I stay with it for awhile, even if it sags a
bit, hoping the writer gets going again. Perfection is preferable, but not
expected.
Finished Saylor's ROMAN BLOOD several days ago. It was a good read, and the
atmosphere was convincing. I will read others in the series, no doubt.
I'm reading Batya Gur's SATURDAY MORNING MURDER, which is actually the first
in her "Michael Ohayon" series. I would rate that an excellent read.
I have now included Gur's works in my "Don't wait for something to show in a
used book store, but get it when it first appears" list.
