As long as so-called adults continue to make kids without regard to the
ability to feed and care for them, and then get surprised when the little
bastards turn out mean, we'll have this problem - because those will be the
adults wanting zero tolerance.
Zero tolerance is a great fallacy - it works only if evenly applied, and
then only after everything else has failed - and I'm not so sure it works
even
then, because I'm not REAL sure what it is supposed to accomplish.
Simplistic solutions that don't work abound. Go to the doctor with a
bellyache, and he removes your appendix. What does he do the next time -
remove it again? I don't think so - but that's the logic of some of this.
