Hello Dan. 11 Jul 06 10:11, you wrote to me: RT>> Tell that to fidonets destructors, detractors, arsewipes, and other RT>> negative behaving citizens of fidoland. DC> But, I have. You have, wonderful, did your telling them have any effect, noticable or otherwise ... ? DC> The biggest Doomsayer for FIDO seems to be Vlist. According DC> to him, "nothing can be done to save it". For various reasons, I believe his sentiments, if not for the reasons he propounds, from his keyboard ... DC> Do you buy into that? Mostly yes, not because it cannot be changed, but because there are few that will support any issue of positive change, with the same dedication as those who oppose any positive change, i.e. the negative element in Fido is far larger, and much more loudly vocal than the positive element, so the positive element, has little chance of being heard. Despite what some people say about the *C structure being dictators, they are not. And possibly the only way for FidoNet to go forward, and "improve" is if the *C's, take up a dictatorial position, and lay down the "new" law, and see to it that every one tows the line. But I don't see that happening, simply because, none of the ZC's are that way inclinded, and like I mentioned elsewhere, we all have a life to live, that has very little to do with FidoNet. None of us have a spare life we can "dedicate" to seeing that FidoNet members follow the path, and the path only, ... , so I don't see it happening. And by now I have already spent more time than I can readily afford to this particular subject, this evening.
