-> -> Sounds more like an egg carton than a sailboat!
GS> cheap to buy. It was more of a simple dinghy sailboat, if I
GS>remember correctly it also had a motor mount for a outboard.
-> I could have used one of those the last time I raced the C-Lark. It
-> was a long paddle back in after the wind died out...
Dan: It was brought to my attention it was probably a Snark. It was
first and last time on that boat. I am well backed up in case of the
wind dying, with motor and two paddles. The latter would only be as a
last resort!
-> I've got to get back into that. There's a patch on my boat that
-> doesn't look good. I'm sure that it's leaking. Also, it needs a
-> coat of paint to make it look good again. Worse, I hate to paint!
If the patch is on the outside, you might be satisfied with cloth and
resin on the inside. Otherwise you will need to do some serious sanding.
-> Sniff the stuff the next time you wax. I don't think we carry the
-> paste wax version of 2000, but we dod have another brand that
-> smells more like diesel fuel than wax!
If I remeber correctly all waxes contain a solvent and abrasives to
clean and remove very small scratches. I don't think it was diesel fuel
although a varsol deriative is possible. More than likely some sort of
acetone chemical cleaner.
