 Perhaps I am confusing interpretation with what it says Mark; I 
 have heard enough sermons on the corruption of the flesh and the 
 earth in general to think that that was the Biblical idea. 
 
Although, I see it as contradictory that man, who was created by 
God, could 'invent' imperfection.  If we're created in God's image 
as Genisis says, it would follow that we also would be perfect. I 
myself, do not see any evidence that creation is perfect, nor do I 
see that God is. Perhaps you have some proof?  I am afraid that it 
will not be adequate to quote scriptural opinion, because I do not 
regard that as perfect either. 
 
It is not that I say that God *cannot* be perfect, but that She 
saw that to allow me a truly free will, She had to sacrifice some 
perfection in me, and creation.  Imperfection is more interesting.
