SB>I have begun working with the internet controls in Delphi 2.0,
specifically
SB>POP and SMTP components. I ran the demo at work and successfully sent
sing
SB>SMTP and received using POP, but when I tried the same demo at home with
y
SB>dialup ISP, it connects to the servers ok, but couldn't send, it gets an
err
SB>message which I don't have handy at the moment. Has anyone seen this
before?
SB>seems to be failing with some type of invalid reply from the server.
Hmmm, I just got my upgrade yesterday, and haven't had a chance to play
with it. Actually, I am more interested in NNTP. If you could post the
error message, it might jog something....
SB>I guess the program could be a bug in the code, but since it worked at
work
SB>the network I have to wonder. My ISP could be doing something
non-standard,
SB>that seems strange too. Anyway, any feedback on this? Im just hoping this
is
SB>known problem, because I want to use this stuff at home too.
Are you running the same version of Winsock on both machines? Also,
does the error message have anything to do with licensing? (I know
there is a bug in the controls related to this.)
