   Herb, after building, upgrading and repairing PCs for a decade, I
don't have to refer to notes or other references to know what the
defaults are. Nevertheless, since you insist, check the quick reference
in "Upgrading and Repairing PCs" (QUE Books, ISBN 1-56529-736-9). 
   If you don't happen to have a copy of that particular book, run MSD
and - under IRQ Status - see how the COM ports are paired.
