No, that's not what it is (I think). A developer got hold of the Microsoft
signature (whatever it is, I haven't investigated in great detail), and
igned
his applet. This applet, because it carried a "trusted" signature, wasn't
queried with the user before doing whatever it did (which in this case was
something harmless). MS weren't best pleased, but it did highlight the
problem.
This is events as I understand them - you'll probably get something different
from MS, but...
