Among the positives for homeschooling, you may list this close to the top. A
teacher with 20-30 students can't possibly adjust to the daily mood swings of
each student. In my own class, I have to go with the "group" mood. Since I
teach resource students in a relatively small environment (~10 students), it
is fairly easy. However, since I am in a formal school setting, I cannot
just drop everything for the day and "go to the museum" to study there
because my students have severe cabin fever. Field trips are long term
planning, and with our budget, (and unfortunately, a couple of my students)
virtually nil except for going outside the building onto the grounds.
