I disagree.  It isn't going to end with the fall of Saddam.

Bush's misadventure has given al-Qaida thousands of new recruits as it is,
and I don't for a moment think Bush intends to stop with Iraq.  Iran and
Syria are next, but I don't know in which order; most likely Syria, since
it can be attacked from both directions and Assad's fall will eliminate any
threat to Israel from that direction, plus it'll give us another supply
channel that doesn't require the use of the relatively narrow Red Sea and
Persian Gulf waterways.

After that, probably Pakistan and the formal conquest of Afghanistan.  By
then there'll probably be two billion or so Muslims mad at us (up from
several thousands now) and ready to kill any American they can get their
hands on.
