If one thinks in terms of "life-situational" evolutionary pressures (most
generally categorized into adversely and opportunely selective such), it is
more easily realized that, aside from intrinsic or endogenous evolutionary
pressures (e.g., physical,
biomolecular and physioanatomical patterning potentials and tendencies),
environments (or milieus) cause or contribute both physiological and
psychophysiological pressures on individuals -- that is, on candidate
(Darwinian) selectee-individuals of populations in phylogeny, as much as in
any, likewise by contemporary candidate (Darwinian) selectee-individuals
constituted, current population.
