Vi> Jaz (my deceased kitty) didn't mind her carrier at all but I think

Sounds good to me. When we got Lady Jane, she was already a year
and a half old. We picked her up at the vet hospital where she
was living and put her in the carrier. As soon as we carried her
to the car, she started meowing the most forlorn meows, and
kept it up all the time until she got out - an hour later.
She is getting harder and harder to put into the cage - of course,
you are right in that NOW the end of the trail is the vet's. But
even when we are done there, it is hard to get her into the carrier
to bring her home.
We had a cat called Tiffany who was a holy (or unholy) terror when
it came to the cat carrier. But once the vet was done, all we had
to do was open the cat carrier, and she went right in.

... It's either country music, or nine cats being tortured.
