GW> JJ> When using Delphi-16, how can you have the "on click" function
attached
GW> JJ> to one menu item move the menu cursor up or down when it completes.
GW>That is not standard Windows behavior and would only confuse the user.
Menus
GW>do not have focus and disappear when selected. Use something like a list
box

Unfortunately, most Windows applications are built for the office
automation arena. I work in the manufacturing process control arena and
am looking to minimize the number of keystrokes or motions needed for a
quality assurance machine. Are any other folks on this conference
working in the same arena? If so, I'd be interested in hearing of your
experiences.
I'll look into your suggestion of using a list box. It may be a good
work around. I've become used to working with C++ and TurboVision under
DOS; this project has no tight execution time so I'm using it as an
excuse to start using Windows. So far, I'm impressed with the
capabilities of Delphi. I've been able to interface the pc based software
quite easily with a set of routines that run on a DSP based frame
grabber.
