Hello Paul! AW>> I've just found out that apparently next Monday is a public holiday. AW>> This certainly makes going out on the Sunday night much more AW>> attractive. Can you include another 1 on the booking for me? PE> Yeah, I'll have to be more careful about that in future. I didn't think PE> to check to make sure it wasn't before a working day. How did Brenton PE> manage to swing that one? I think it must have been on a Friday. Twas. PE> Anyway, it's just typical of people (not you) to be so difficult not being PE> able to follow simple instructions, so instead of a meticulously PE> calculated arrangement, we have a doubtful number of people coming. I PE> have just rung them up, and booked for 9. This is: Hopefully my car will make it. Can anyone tell me definitively how long I can go with a noisy wheel bearing? It started off making some noise at Ilford and made it back to Sydney ok. Countless trips in the past seven days have seen it get worse, to the extent that it now sounds like I'm towing a semitrailer behind the car. Someone suggested it wont catastrophically fail, but will just get noisier and noisier. I want to make a trip to Liverpool on Monday and I don't want to get stranded in the ghetto, so this is a serious question. PE> Me, the only one to be a "sure thing". [personality profiles subset deleted] (expect at least one delicate petal to be highly offended by them) PE> Admittedly the message in Aust_AVTech wasn't to "All", and was shrouded in PE> some waffle from Poe, so that would have kept a fair bit of the rabble PE> away. Actually, looking at the list, it's kept them all away. Only TMLers PE> and the person who the original was directed to are going to be coming. PE> I'm not sure if BG is a TMLer though, he could have read about it in PE> either forum. Oh well, with Bob Lawrence taking a break, at least the PE> average age of the group will fall below 50 at last. BFN. What the bloody hells happened to you Bob - are you boycotting dinners until they're held on the other side of the bridge? Brenton seems to be able to find the time to travel over for the night from almost Albury. Shit weren't those fireworks great last night, although the first 10 minutes was a bit quiet. I was on the roof of the 7 floor building next to Luna Park, and the last ones from the top of the coat hanger looked like they would land on us. Woolstencraft must have provided a reasonable viewing point as well. When I was a kid, cracker night or the Warwick show fireworks knocked my socks off. Kids today must find a 26 minute fireworks show pretty bloody good. Regards, Alan --- FMail 0.94* Origin: White-point Northern Sydney (3:711/934.3) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
