Good point. Unfortunately programmers with monkey brains and
old-fashioned conservative attitudes have written restrictive systems
that cause these hassles. St George, which is supposedly a progressive
bank, had trouble handling a joint bank account we opened up some time
ago. Their forms and system wasn't designed for defactos. They may have
updated though. If I were a women, I wouldn't like a surname of
Whiteman anyway.
