drive bays *replacing* two regular IDE (pata) drives that used to be there.  The 
motherboard has two (2) sata connectors for its controller and two (2) regular ide 
connectors used by cd drives.  The SATA drives are connected directly to the sata 
controller connectors using the proper supplied cables.

It is obvious we are not on the same page.  I don't want or need any change to my 
existing setup.  It appears you are thinking of SATA Raid setups, or you did not 
understand my original question.  Again; 1) I have a new motherboard; 2) I have SATA 
drives connected to the onboard controllers; 3) I have no other hard
drives; 4) I was 
asking why the HD LED connection was not working with Warp 4.

If this is not clear please ask for more info privately!
