Actually you did open that conversation in the ZCC echo and everyone who
¨replied (Me, Russell, Janis I think it was) were in favor of it and gave
ideas ¨on what we thought might work.

Mine was the idea of a publically stated ZMH2 (a second one and folks in Z2
¨would decide which to support, the normal with no action needed or the
¨alternate with a flag). Posting a second ZMH line in the trailer of the
¨nodelist would be the only other thing needed. The keywords for the flag
¨varied but the essential idea was 'go for it' but you are right, none of
the ¨folks who wanted it kept the thread going here so it languished.

Oddly the only 'action' taken on it was your own, to see how it might be
done ¨and get a little feedback.

It wasnt handled in a way as to make much clear other than most of the
¨nodelisted Z2 sysops who would be impacted, didnt particularily care for
that ¨change. That or there's a hell of a lot of dead wood in R50? Very
hard to ¨tell which is which.

Yes, and I'll add that without your active involved assistance, it would
make a ¨real mess of Fidonet. My impressions of all your discussion is
that you didnt ¨particuarily 'like it' but had the vote/referendum turnout
been a resounding ¨'yes, we want to move' you would have helped.

Wince, wish you had used other words there! Oh well. People are
interested ¨but some turn it into 'flame-bait' and rather non-productive
results come ¨about. I trued to use the Zone7 echo, thinking that might
have been a clearer ¨view but pretty much got told to 'get out of my echo'
as that wasnt the topic ¨there and they didnt want anyone posting in
english. Russell cut the echo too ¨after that little childish spate at us
both.

It's hard to help folks when they wont talk.
