fibre cement (Hardiflex (tm)) comes in different thicknesses from 20mm (for
flooring) to 4mm (popular as eaves lining)
industrial grade ("super six") Corrogated AC roofing was the only roofing
given a perfect score after a hurricane swept through Darwin. roofs of all
other types suffered wind damage (but not all other roofs)
that stuff was engineered well.

here they're still making FC it in a range of textures including planks
with a woodgrain, and shets that look like troweled plaster (with curved
ridges) FC pipes are available and sometimes used for stormwater or for
columns
