DL> The comparison opertor for "equals" in REXX is = , not ==. DN>Hi Dan, DN>This is not true. There are 2 different comparison operators in REXX. DN>In this instance == is unambiguous, whereas = needs the DN>character/arithmetic ambiguity resolved. Hmm, never knew that!. Perhaps I have a few of these "bugs" in some of my REXX code that I never caught before becuase they work. I know it is hard to switch back and forth between REXX & C. Besides the C style comments make it even harder to subconciously make the distinction. I still catch myself putting parens around logical expressions when I am building if-then-else structures. ___ * MR/2 1.52 NR * When the chips are down, the buffalo's empty. --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.11* Origin: Freezing Point BBS - WDNet HQ - Mpls MN: (1:282/85.0) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/807 808 809 934 942 949 712/353 515 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 282/85 1 270/101 396/1 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 808 809 934 |
