You can't blame the kid for anything.  90% or more of any age person in the 
United States that was sitting in the same seat the kid was would have tried 
to catch the ball.  Every kid and most men who go to games would LOVE to 
catch a foul ball off the pitcher's bat in the middle of June, let alone a 
HOMERUN in the playoffs.
