12358de61dee tech Hello Paul - --8<--cut PW> No I couldn't. There's more to what I did than just PW> installing a mess of dll's. Some dll's have to be modified PW> just a tad and then there's all the changes in the registry. We both obviously enjoy tweaking our OS. It was quite common at one time when costs of hardware were prohibitive. For myself, I've decided that costs for upgrades are too low to justify the time and energy to get another 5% speedup here on what I have now. I'm not happy about this but this is how lower priced hardware versus my available time factors out to be. I will probably have a W2K setup here soon using NTFS. It will be quite fast and very stable (from what I am told). It's an older computer with nothing on the motherboard but the CPU. All PCI slots, 8 meg AGP video, USR Robotics 56k modem, 192 meg of memory. No shared video memory, no windmodem, nothing to slow it down. I will probably be much more productive and a bit disinterested at the same time. The upside is I can network my present system to it and keep a backup online. This will allow me to get really extreme with my modifications on this system with no worries about how much damage I do since copying it all back won't be as troublesome. :-) > > , , > o/ Charles_Angelich - DOS Ghost \o , > __o/ > / > www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost/faf/ < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
