subject: Origin Lines

Hi, All!
Am I alone in being frustrated at wondering what part of the country
a posting is coming from because of incomplete origin lines. (The
Origin Line is the one that the bbs automatically puts at the bottom
of every posting, like the one at the bottom of this one.)
There's room for a whole line of text, and it's a simple matter for
a sysop to modify his bbs configuration to include the relevant stuff
in his origin line. If you are a sysop of a system with no indication
of where in the origin line, how about setting it up so we can all see
where the postings are coming from? And if you're not, but your bbs
is deficient in this area, how about a subtle and private message to
your sysop asking him/her/it/them to change the setup a tad?
I think it makes it a lot more interesting to know where stuff is coming
   from, don't you?
best,| ps
