AH> Hey All AH> I've been considering upgrading from win-doze to AH> Warp, but I haven't AH> read enough reviews to justify the purchase. Would AH> anyone have any (unbiased) AH> opinions on Warp vs Windows? AH> Info on useability, compatibility with Dos and Windows apps, installation, AH> anything interesting to a prospective user... If you want to run multiple windows applications simultaneously, and you have 8 megs of ram or less, then Windows will run those applications better... However, if you have more ram, or you primarily run Dos applications, Warp is a far better choice.. A word of advice, to improve system performance with 8 megs or less under Warp (should you decide on it).. Either don't install or rem out the driver lines for the MMPM (Multimedia) when you aren't using it.. MMPM tends to eat up resources (voice of experience here..) l8r, Scott --- Maximus/2 2.02* Origin: Programmer's Den - Home of Cybernet - Freq CYBERNET (1:112/66) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/807 808 809 934 942 949 712/353 515 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 112/66 1 280/1 396/1 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 808 809 934 |
