The touchpads I've seen work exactly the same as a mouse - you can even use a
standard mouse driver to run them, and program them thru int 33h.. so there's
no easy way of telling a touchpad from a mouse, as far as I know. Perhaps one
of the mouse driver functions might help - but don't count on it.
If you become aware of any touch pads that use a system other than "use a
mouse driver" I'd like to know about it..
