We could join or support the current peaceful protests to reform what
the rules of engagement are, and to support enforcement of humane rules,
and punishment when violation of those rules happen.  That is what we
can do.

I assume that the "they" in your sentence did not mean the named people
since they are all dead.  The "they" would refer to those officers who
are in law enforcement.  Some of those officers need to cease the
violation of the human rights of people via racial profiling, via acting with
unnecessary force, and against police policy.  The rest of those offices
need to begin holding the above officers accountable for their actions
and should speak out about violations of the proper procedures when they
witness them.
