If they had a 'drawing room' (withdrawing room) I think except in the largest homes, it was multipurpose (male or female). Today is very different because we aren't talking the words a rich person with an expansive house would but the average person. Today, we come with 3 bedrooms, a 'living room' a kitchen, and 2 bathrooms (though one may be just a toilet and sink). Today, we readd the term 'sewing room' (if you have a spare cubby for it) and add a new one called 'Man Cave' (which may be in a shed but is not that dissimilar to a 'drawing room for men'). BTW, how is your daughter? I've not been here in a long time. I think she'd be about 29-30 now but not sure. xxcarol --- SBBSecho 2.12-Win32* Origin: Shenk's Express, shenks.synchro.net (1:275/100) SEEN-BY: 203/0 633/267 640/384 1384 712/620 848 770/1 @PATH: 275/100 140/1 221/0 1 203/0 640/384 712/848 633/267 |
