You might want to report this to Dani.  It may be something she can fix. 
Of course, it may also be some assumptions made by the DMDs which can not
be controlled.

FWIW, the bootloader tells the kernel what the boot drive letter is,
typically using data stored in the BPB.  Problems occur when this does not
agree with the drive letter assigned by the DMDs (OS2LVM or OS2DASD).
