There's always an exception to the rule, I suppose.  I have a BIOS here 
that refuses to boot from a particular DVD-RW drive, in spite of it 
being selected in the menu (and loaded with a bootable disc).

I'll have to check this out on some motherboards I have here for 
OS/2-related compatibility - I know it works with WindowsXP and the 
various flavours of Linux I deploy.
