  Hehehe, I had to chuckle reading your message about the 
hair...my experience over the last 16+ years in the Air Force would 
support uniform hair (and grooming) standards!!!  ;)  
 
  Perhaps Mr Ryan's feelings are that the hair is the last bastion of 
individuality and therefor the last target susceptable to being used as 
a gang sign.  Can't rightly say without talking to the gent personally.
 
  When does individuality and personal/cultural expression become 
harmful?  Tough question.
