I quite often find that with Video tape, as long as a good quality tape is
used and you don't eject the tape in mid-track, this usually makes an
indent on the tape and you get a cut out sound.

Some of the older Aiwa decks in the UK are very reliable and still keep
good quality but lack some of the new features which are supposidly
_needed_
