I intended to do this some time back, but just plain forgot to
include the information. After that, I just thought "bugger it".
I'm fairly careful to only report was was said or written. When
I do express a personal opinion, It's usually as a qualification or
in the negative.
 
Speaking of negatives, Devine have reported to the ASX that their
profits for the first four months are 30% down on last year.
 
This is less than one month after telling both the AGM and the ASX 
that they were expecting half year results to be the same as last
year. For such a decline to become evident in only one month suggests
either that 1) their management information systems are crap, or 
2) one part of the company doesn't know what the other part is doing
or 3) they don't have the same regard for the disclosure provisions
of the ASX rules that I think they should.
 
Minor positives: they've started a heavy advertising campaign on
daytime Brisbane TV, and they'll be bringing five new estates up
for sale over the next six months, with the first appearing in 
December. 
 
I do have shares in Devine, and despite the abysmal price performance
I'm willing to take a punt on them as a yield investment.
 
The real protection of all investors is to seek your own sources
and Caveat Emptor.
