Yes, it's supported since Warp 3.

You can play an audio CD in your cd-rom player and listen the audio
without that analog cable.

Just select "Digital transfer" in your MMOS/2 cd-player and you will
use your audio card to convert digital to analog audio, instead the
built-in converter in your cd-player. This normally incrases the
quality of the sound. I was very happy using it with my Sound Blaster
AWE 64, because I was able to incrase the Bass and Treble values with
the SB mixer.

For DVD playing... The whole digital stream (audio and video) are read
from the DVD media and is demuxed and decoded via software and the
video part is drawed in the screen and the audio part are played via
audio card. So the analog  cable is not used. It's only optionally
used when you play audio CD.
