Sorry about the LONG lapse of time between messages. But I finally
figure it out. After obtaining my THIRD modem...I stared at the NEW I/O
card FAST EIDE 32 bit VESA-local Bus High-Speed adapter...and traded it
for a new EIDE Master ISA+I/O...problem solved! DAMN!!! just the thought
of all the time wasted and the process of elimination. I will never buy
from that store again! Normally I'm for supporting the little man
(private vendor) Vs the BIG BOYS (Best Buy etc..) But Best Buy solved my
problem. Thanks once again John!  I'm zooming (new Zoom also) at 56K!
