From the description, I don't think what Mike has are IBM cards, 
possibly HP/Compaq or Adaptec.

There's no FRU number on them is there Mike ?

The "handle" on the card definately suggests a Server rather than PC 
card - I suppose they could also be from a non-intel (i.e. *nix) box of 
some sort as those boxes have also used PCI bus.
