That is not comforting to know. I don't understand how that could happen.
Fidonet is all about communication. Why there was none in Z3 I don't know.

When I joined fidonet in '95 P4 was already in place, I was told I had to
agree to it when I joined, so I did.

There is some talk of policy change going on so I think there is a chance you
(and all of us) could have a vote or at least a say on a an updated policy.
Time will tell.
