In the 1996-97 Sheboygan Ameritech book it's on page 43. Ok, you are
correct when referring to the Wisconsin law, however I was referring to
Federal law which is more restrictive. If someone wanted to get nasty,
a good defense lawyer could probably invoke the Federal law and make it
stick, and it WOULD stick if it were an interstate call!
Another cute piece of trivia: Chances are actually very good that, just
calling from one town to the next one a few miles away, (within the same
state!), the call is likely to be routed through an out-of-state switching
center, thereby technically making it an interstate call!

Actually, Ex-Ham who wants to get my license reinstated. The # of
occupants can be recorded on a form available from the Sheriff's or Police
Dept. for entering information into the system. As far as the number of
weapons, etc, I doubt that would be listed unless the law enforcement
agencies considered this person to be a potential danger, then it might be
entered by that authority, though I'm sure at least the shift commander,
if not the cops on the beat, would have that information in their heads.
KK> They even blert the info to the responding squads... In some cases...
When I have heard this type of information dispatched, it came from one
of the officers, not from the dispatcher during the origional dispatch
call. It could be different where you are, but I have monitored the
emergency channels of several Police & Sheriff's depts in Minnesota, Iowa
and Wisconsin in the last 30+ years,, and have never heard it dispatched
as part of a 911 call. (Ok, 911 isn't all that old, and Enhanced 911 is
a relatively recent innovation.)
Catch you late... Stay warm!
