Well, Cool Edit is shareware. And while some of the advanced features
are disabled, at least it doesn't have a fixed-length trial period.

Right. Once you've started burning the CD-R, don't do /anything/
that will cause hard drive access.

Well, I have the same tendency. However, I've been caught out by it a
few times- discovered that I was doing things the hard way. Makes you
feel kind of silly when that light bulb goes on, and you realize there's
a better way.. ;-)

Well, I'd love to, but I don't have that one. I have _Nothing But A
Burning Light_ and _Stealing Fire_, plus a mix tape someone turned
me on to. But no "Tokyo"... :-(
What album's it from?

You're an OS/2 man then, I take it?
If it's any comfort, the WinNT support for these things is very poor,
too. Of course, unlike the OS/2 support, things will likely improve
down the road, when Win98 and WinNT merge.
CH> It'd probably multitask better though. :-)))))
I sincerely doubt it. It's not so much an OS issue, but the physical
limits of the current generation of hard drives.
