Great for theatre, terrible for a lot of bands. I do use automation
for effects changes. As far as snapshots, I prefer to start from
scratch in each new room. It's easier for me to start from zero than
from last night's settings. When too many knobs need to be turned, I
get an assistant. IMHO, the amount of a change can vary too much from
night to night to trust it to automation.
