Glad you enjoyed my input about your trip.
Cape Canaveral is very interesting.  My son and husband went to a
weekend Space Camp last year in Florida, and both my kids will be going
this December for 5 nights.
I hope that the few days you are planning will be enough for you.  I
think you will love the space of the Old Key West Resort (which used to
be called the Disney Vacation Club).
I don't think the time frame you are going is as busy as in July and
early August.  I would suggest everyone wear a hat, carry a waterbottle
(with the new strapped ones you can just hang it on your shoulder), and
if it starts raining get to a store and buy a $5.00 or so rain poncho
with Mickey Mouse!
