Do you have Background Execution set to OFF on all your DOS and
Windows programs? (assuming none of them are comm programs). It helps a
lot with multitasking.
The same goes for DDE on all windows programs (assuming you do not use
it for a specific program).
I run 6-8 DOS and Windows sessions regularly without any problem--but
I needed the above settings to be able to do it. I even have 1 very
cpu intensive DOS data comm program which requires the SLICER10.ZIP time
slice TSR to get Pulse off the upper peg.
