What software are you using?
Judging by Javier's description, EasyCD Pro converts WAV files on
the fly, so yours probably does the same.
What kind of drive do you have? CD-R or CD-RW? What's the brand/model,
and is it IDE or SCSI? And what brand/model is your hard drive?
