Hi Derek,

  On the point of the Intel Quad core showing only three cores, is this 
one of the very latest CPUs where I think Intel have said they will 
re-introduce hyperthreading ? In wjich case what happens if you disable 
this in the Bios, does it just show 2 CPUs then or actually 4 ?  I know 
Windoze had some issues on multi-processor systems when Hyperthreading 
came in and MS "in their wisdom" fixed it that hyperthreading was 
counted as an extra processor ! So a dual CPU (single core at that 
time), showed as having 4 CPUs. Perhaps this is a similar problem ?
