  It's a weird thing about humanity that they never truly believe
something is going to happen until it happens to *them*. I used to
think I was the only one on the planet who knew if was possible to be
bitten by a dog or burgled, for instance, but now I think there may be
a dozen of us. The rest wait till it happens and squeal like pigs.

  When dealing with dickheads, perception is everything. You have to
get him thinking it's a miracle you do so well against enormous odds.
Otherwise he'll think it's too easy.
