BL> MSCDEX.EXE. For some reason, DOS didn't instal it, but there it
 BL> was... lurking on the original discs unused and alone. Gee!

 DM> I think DOS may detect if there is a CD-Rom installed, and load
 DM> the MSCDEX automatically, either that, or the CD-ROM install
 DM> disks configure all that anyway.

  It's a bit hard to load it when the discs are up on the shelf.

 BL> I've got 20 Mb of DLL's in there and I haven't got a clue what
 BL> any of them do.

 DM> Try a de-installer - they have some success at removing
 DM> unwanted DLL's.

  I've got an de-installer... me. I am a pre-emptive de-installer;
I get the bastards going in. It's the thing I hate most about Windows;
the way dickhead programmers load their shit and rewite win.ini at
every opportunity. I've got a thing called WordScan that rewrites its
ini file every time I boot! What the hell for? These blokes are
fuckwits, and there's no way I let them loose in my windows/system
directory.

  The classic is a thing called BWCC.DLL. It's Borland's and Christ
knows what it does, but everyone keeps adding to it. There are 47
versions of it!

 BL> A sheep?

 DM> A bargain at that price, and better than a wife - it will cut
 DM> the grass too.

  The bloke up the street has a sheep, and the other night it was
out eating the nature strip when Jess went past. Jess did a double
take and wandered over to see what the hell this was. The sheep
attacked! It's a trained attack-sheep! Agressive bastard of a thing...

  I thought sheep were more like... sheep.

Regards,
Bob
