Yes, I can.  He was old enough to know better not to reach into the field of 
play.  And I'm sure there were annoucements made before the game to that 
effect.

No, they don't.  I've never reached into the field of play to grab a ball 
from a fielder and I never would.  It's one thing to go after a ball hit into 
the stands, but quite another to reach into the field of play.
Even giving the kid the benefit of the doubt that he was too young or too 
ignorant to know better, he still shouldn't be made into a hero.
