I don't recall but at first I thought some guitar amplifiers use this
type of circuit in their output stage. In that circuit the capacitors do
double duty both to couple the loudspeaker and to filter the supply. But
I was wrong since in that amplifier circuit the capacitors go between
the colletors, the emitters are common to ground, and ground is
floating with respect to the power supply. It's a very odd circuit!
