1st thanks for the reply.
You're right which is why I tried an LBA capable mb which has entries in
the hd table with greater than C-1024. Still no go. I did however locate
a utility which aparently does sector translation for the drive, making
it seem like 63 sectors instead of 36 but I suspect this may cause its
own set of problems. Okay, it's my next project...
