Hmmm, this thought has occured to me, but the time-out period would have to 
be in the range of 5~20 seconds...  That's it, click!  No retrains, just a 
disconnect.  I've had this service for the past 2+ months and not had a 
problem until just this past week.  The ISP Techs have not mentioned a 
timeout period.

Yes, AT** works for me.  Preforming an ATI3 afterwards displays the revision 
of the ROMs currently installed.  I have found however, that it works better 
for me to preform an AT&F2 prior to preforming an AT**.  Give that a try :)
