subject: Re: National Guard reputation scares off illegal migrants?

From: "Gary Britt"

I don't want to get carried away. That's why I firmly draw the line of
protecting the border right AFTER the use of land mines and 50 caliber
hummer mounted machine guns. Its a balancing test of appropriate levels of
force and the value of protecting our borders and security with respect for
the value of the lives of criminals crossing our border illegally. That's
why I feel strongly a line should be drawn right after land mines and
machine guns.

How many illegals die every year, in the deserts or at the hands of Mexican
criminals that prey upon them? Its likely to be 100 or more per year don't
you think? Now if we just blow up 10 of them, they will all stop coming
and we will save 90 or more lives per year. So using land mines and
machine guns is not only good security its the humanitarian thing to do.
